Meet your host at Villa St Simon
Blaye and the entire Bordeaux region you just have to fall in love with! It happened to me, Les, in 2002 when I discovered Villa St Simon and to Clarissa, the artist, when she arrived here a couple of years later. Ever since countless numbers of friends and guests have made the same experience and therefore return, recommend it to their friends and family or even invest in property here themselves.
We originally had the vision to create a home-from–home in Bordeaux for friends and guests from all over the world. So, we restored the 1860 Villa and turned the former family home into a Bed and Breakfast. Over the years we have extended the B&B and now also offer self-catering apartments and an Art Gallery & Restaurant. With recognized artists from all over the world, an ambience that could be found in Paris or New York and our Restauarnt & Wine Bar, you get the opportunity to indulge in all good things life has to offer.
Teaching has always been our passion and the teaching goes on; at Villa St Simon our greatest pleasure is to guide you on how to taste, recognize, and – most important – how to even better enjoy Bordeaux wines. Join us on coached wine tastings or on the more profound Demystifying of Wine that we now offer in English and in French.
With over 8000 châteaux in Bordeaux, between the famous Grand Cru Classé and many unacknowlegded boutique wineries, you can find some very good-value jewels ; discovering these is our never-ending mission! As licensed wine negociants we also source and make available to friends and guests the best value for money wines and Wine Futures (Primeurs) that we can find in Bordeaux and other parts of France.
